WSU at the LSA Institute in Chicago
Pictured here are two WSU faculty, one current student, and two alumni who attended the 2015 Linguistic Society of America Summer Institute at the University of Chicago. In the front row are Ljiljana Progovac, who taught A Program for Evolutionary Syntax and Martha Ratliff who taught Introduction to Historical Linguistics at the Institute (they both attended classes as well). In the second row left to right are WSU alumna Ruth Crabtree, now a Ph.D. student in Linguistics at Purdue University, and incoming MA student Debbie Leggett. To Debbie's right is WSU alumna Cherry Meyer, now a Ph.D. student in Linguistics at the University of Chicago. Cherry was involved in planning events for the Institute.
