M.A. students present their works around the world

Wayne State linguistics grad students are traveling from Detroit to Illinois, Poland and Vancouver to present their works on sociolinguistics.

Presentations will be held by Shannon McKeown and Josh Linden at SOciolingusitics SYmposium at UIUC and on language borrowing and phonology by Jahnavi Nakar at West Coast Conference in Formal Linguistics 2020 and the 28th edition of the Conference of the Student Organization of Linguistics in Europe.

Shannon Yee is also presenting at the 12th Annual Meeting of the Illinois Language and Linguistics Society (ILLS12) and Michigan Academy of Science, Arts and Letters 2020 Conference (MASAL) on "Is Noun Bias Universal? Evidence from Chinese and Korean compared with French and English).

Shannon Yee's paper "An Overview of the Noun in Swo" has been accepted for a poster presentation at the 31st Annual Conference on African Linguistics (ACAL) at Rutgers.
