Job posting: Language acquisition student research assistant
The Child Language Lab in the Linguistics Program is seeking a student research assistant (10 to 15 hours a week) for the project investigating patterns of language acquisition in children from Arabic-speaking homes in Metro Detroit. The position is for the full academic year and serves as an opportunity to develop your own project.
Duties will include recruitment of study participants, scheduling and collecting data, data entry and data management, helping with data analysis and interpretation.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic
- Attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills, dependability
- Previous experience with research and data preferred, but not required
Training will be provided. Compensation is $15 an hour.
