WSU geology student excels in academics and athletics

Jason Jweda taking a sample from a rockJason Jweda, a geology senior and WSU swim team member, was recognized at the annual athletic department banquet as being one of 100 Wayne State University student-athletes earning a GPA above 3.5 during the current academic year.

Moreover, Jason holds the highest GPA of any student-athlete in the College of Science. In addition to maintaining his high academic standing, Jason helped the WSU team win its second consecutive Divisional Title by winning his individual event during the Divisional Championships.
