John Zawiskie elected Michigan Academy Geology Section Chair

WSU Geoscientist John Zawiskie was recently elected Michigan Academy of Science Arts & Letters Geology Section Chair for 2005-2006. The Michigan Academy of Science, Arts, and Letters is a regional professional organization that facilitates scholarly exchange through annual meetings and a quarterly journal of outstanding papers and news about research at Michigan colleges and universities. Wayne State University and the Cranbrook Institute of Sciences are institutional members of the Michigan Academy. The meetings of the Michigan Academy are held on the campus of an affiliated Michigan college or university each year. The meetings include papers, symposia, special sessions on featured topics, and several social events.
