Meet Nathan Vengalil

1) What are you doing now, and what are your career plans?

Currently, I am a senior in the Honors College here at Wayne State University. I will be graduating this May 2016. Come fall, I will be starting medical school at the University of Michigan to fulfill my dream of becoming a physician.

2) How have the economics courses and training you had at Wayne State University been helpful to you?

The economics courses at Wayne State have been superb! I have learned so much from them. Even though my primary focus is on medicine, I plan to utilize my economics knowledge in both my future career and everyday life.

3) What advice would you have for current and future students in economics?

My advice to current and future economics students is to really explore what the department has to offer! You may be surprised by what may catch your attention, which can ultimately shape new interests and career goals.
