Prince's hybrid text receives honor
V. Efua Prince's "June" was selected by Kate Bernheimer as one of ten authors whose stories are featured in 2019's edition of The Master's Review annual anthology.
Titled after the Roman goddess Juno who protected women and marriage, "June" reflects on sexual assault through the lens of the colonial endeavor. "June" pivots from a deeply personal site to broader questions of how woman gets configured in nation building.
