U.S. Department of the Interior recognizes Dr. Donna Kashian for contributions to restoration

Dr. Donna Kashian, Department of Biological Sciences, has received a "Partners in Conservation" Award from the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Dr. Kashian has been recognized for her multidisciplinary research efforts, which include partners in the Great Lakes Basin, specifically along the Huron-Erie Corridor to improve one of our most valued natural resources, water. Dr. Kashian's collaborative research from which this award stems, has addressed issues of pollution in fish on human health, and restoration efforts on the natural marshlands of Point Rosa in Lake St. Clair.
