Recent Work of Dr. Haidong Gu Selected as a Featured Article in Journal of Virology

Dr. Haidong Gu's recent article "Interaction of Herpes Simplex Virus ICP0 with ND10 Bodies: a Sequential Process of Adhesion, Fusion, and Retention" has been selected by the editors of the Journal of Virology for inclusion in "Spotlight," a feature in the Journal that highlights research articles of significant interest from the current issue. In her article, Dr. Gu explores the regulation of the inhibitor ND10 protein complex which binds Herpes simplex virus I DNA. The work identifies the necessary domains of the viral protein ICP0 which are involved in degradation of ND10 and hence release of transcriptional repression of the viral genome.

Congratulations to Dr. Gu!
