Poster prize winners at biological sciences retreat

The Department of Biological Sciences Annual Departmental Retreat was held in the Wayne State Student Center on November 2, 2019. This year's event hosted over 120 attendees, including faculty members, graduate students, postdocs/research associates, and 30 undergraduate research assistants associated with BRLC. This faculty/student research event had three featured faculty and student speakers, respectively. The keynote speaker, Dr. Arthur Bradley Eisenbrey III, MD, PhD, earned his PhD in the department in 1980 and is a retired physician and clinical associate professor of pathology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. The research retreat also had 31 poster presentations from graduate and undergraduate students. Three graduate students, Mohammed Bharmal, Katherine Dwyer, and Reem Makki, won the best poster presentation.
