Nihar Mehta wins first place at Graduate Student Research Day
Nihar Mehta, a Ph.D. student under the mentorship of Dr. David Njus, won first prize for his poster presentation at the Graduate Student Research Day held in the School of Medicine at Wayne State University on September 18, 2014.
Nihar's work "Dopamine, Hypochlorite and Parkinson's Disease" analyzes the sources of oxidation damage on nerve cells as the model to study the origins of Parkinson's disease in humans.
