Marshes and wetlands are critical wildlife habitats, but they also filter and purify water.

Donna Kashian's laboratory studies lake and wetland ecology. Her group recently produced an educational outreach video highlighting Tobico marsh, a massive wetland situated on Saginaw Bay.
