Dr. Philip Cunningham keynotes microbiology conference

The Ohio Branch of the American Society of Microbiology held their annual meeting at Dennison University on April 3 and 4, 2009. Dr. Philip Cunningham from the Department of Biological Science at Wayne State University was the invited keynote speaker at the conference.

Dr. Cunningham's lecture was entitled "Smart Weapons in the Fight Against Bioterrorism and Antibiotic Resistance." The talk centered on the development of new antibiotic discovery platforms and new classes of antibiotics.
