Dr. Greenberg wins National Institutes of Health award

Congratulations to Dr. Miriam Greenberg for her award from the National Institutes of Health to continue research on Barth Syndrome. Her proposal, "The role of cardiolipin in the TCA cycle: Implications for Barth Syndrome" will generate a new model of Barth syndrome pathogenesis. She expects her findings to inform several common conditions that may involve cardiolipin deficiency, including diabetic cardiomyopathy, some types of liver disease and heart failure.
