College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Selects Dr. Arun Anantharam for Teaching Award

Assistant Professor Arun Anantharam was recently picked as one of this year's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Teaching Award winners.

Dr. Anantharam has been teaching Comparative Physiology (BIO 4120) and has been upgrading the labs, replacing computer-based exercises with wet labs and introducing a discovery-based component in which students design and perform experiments to answer questions of their own choosing.

He also participated in the National Academies Summer Institutes in Minneapolis this past summer. The Department of Biological Sciences is extremely proud of his achievement. Please join us in congratulating Arun on winning the CLAS Teaching Award.
