Biological Sciences Research Retreat 2022
This year's Biological Sciences Annual Departmental Research Retreat hosted over 100 attendances, including faculty members, graduate students, postdocs/research associates and undergraduate research assistants.
This faculty/student research event had six featured student speakers and 26 poster presentations. Keynote speaker, Jordan Sinclair, earned her Ph.D. in the department in 2012 and is now the director of data science for a company called Deveron which is an agricultural data collection and analytics company. Graduate students Kendall Case and Michael O'Brien won prizes for the best oral presentations and four graduate students, Neha Rajput, Katie Dwyer, Chisom Onu and Shelby Kasto won best poster prizes.
Congratulations to our student winners and many thanks to the organizers of this event, the research committee chaired by Dr. Chuanzhu Fan and the Biological Sciences Graduate Student Association (BSGSA).
