The Writing Center is proud to offer several options for writing services.
One-on-one tutoring online or in-person
Writers can schedule a 50-minute session to be completed online or in person (at our campus location).
Writers can request an online, asynchronous tutoring service. This service involves answering a pre-session questionnaire, submitting your writing for review and allowing 24 to 48 hours turn-around time for a tutor to return your document with feedback.
Please keep in mind that this service is limited by availability and tutors can only work with students who answer pre-session questions thoroughly and completely. We do not accept writing without specific feedback requests from the writer.
Walk-in Writer's Studio
Writers can visit our physical location and spend time in the Writer's Studio during our business hours. No appointment necessary.
A list of workshop topics we can provide for your students:
- Responsibly using AI tools for writing and editing
- Tips and tricks for effective peer review
- How to scaffold writing assignments throughout your course (faculty workshop)
- Best practices for drafting personal statements
- Tips and tricks for formatting
- How to maximize your Writing Center experience
- Being a flexible writer
