Application for Richard Barber Interdisciplinary Research Program
Application submissions have concluded for the 2019 summer semester.
We aim to fund seven separate research projects within the program, each of which brings together faculty mentors from multiple departments and each of which will be hiring two undergraduate students this summer.
Each student will be paid a salary of $5400 for the equivalent of 12 weeks of full-time work and be eligible for a $300 bonus at the conclusion of the summer. Undergraduate researchers will be sought that (1) are relatively new to research, (2) are interested in research in a department outside of their home department, (3) are qualified to make meaningful contributions over the summer, and (4) be open to continuing the research after the summer.
