Physics & Astronomy GTA drop-in hours (Fall 2023)

Graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) for physics and astronomy courses have weekly drop-in hours.  Drop-in hours are a time for you to ask questions and get help with your physics or astronomy class.  You do not need to make an appointment in advance -- you can attend anytime during the scheduled drop-in hours times.

Where are drop-in hours?

Most drop-in hours are held in-person in the STEM Commons (room 132 of the STEM building -- the building where physics and astronomy lab classes are located).

Some drop-in hours are online.  You can join these drop-in hours by clicking the Zoom links on the schedule at the bottom of the page. 

Whose drop-in hours can I go to?

Students are welcome to go to drop-in hours with any GTA.  If it's possible, you should go to drop-in hours with the GTA teaching your section or the GTAs teaching other sections of the same course -- these GTAs are the experts for your class.  The table below lists the GTAs assigned to physics and astronomy courses.  GTAs who are not teaching your course will do their best to help you, but they may not be able to answer all your questions.

When are drop-in hours?

GTA drop-in hours begin on Monday, September 11 and end Friday, December 8.  Drop-in hours are held any day when classes are in session according to the schedule below.  This schedule may change, so always check this page before attending drop-in hours.
