U.S. News ranks CLAS graduate programs among nation's best

Several graduate programs offered by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences placed among the best in the country in the 2022 Best Graduate Schools rankings released Tuesday by U.S. News & World Report.

Graduate programs in English, history, sociology (Ph.D.) and public administration, all ranked in the top 100 in the nation.

U.S. News based their rankings on expert opinions and statistics that measure the quality of the school's faculty, research and students, it said in a news release.

WSU's graduate program in English ranked No. 82 among all programs in the United States. The master in public administration program ranked No. 83. History came in at No. 92 and WSU's doctoral program in sociology was ranked No. 100.
