Mathematics Professor Hengguang Li awarded a 2015 United States Air Force Summer Faculty Fellowship

Wayne State University Mathematics Professor Hengguang Li has been awarded a 2015 United States Air Force Summer Faculty Fellowship.

During the summer fellowship, Li will conduct computational mathematical research at the Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards Air Force Base in Southern California. This highly competitive fellowship was only awarded to 90 academics nationwide in 2014.

The USAF Summer Faculty Fellowship Program (SFFP) promotes awareness of Air Force research needs and challenges and stimulates interactions among SFFP fellows and researchers at various Air Force research facilities.

The SFFP fellows are offered hands-on experience in Air Force science and engineering and are provided with collaborative opportunities to perform high-quality and meaningful research at Air Force Research Laboratory Directorates, Air Force Test Center, the United States Air Force Academy, or the Air Force Institute of Technology.
