Mathematics department welcomes new chair, Daniel Frohardt

Daniel Frohardt is the new chair of the mathematics department, replacing Lowell Hansen, who stepped down as chair after serving eight years.

Prof. Frohardt served as associate chair under Professor Hansen. Professor Frohardt's expertise is in group theory and combinatorics, and he has long been active in educational affairs, both locally and state-wide. He is a native of Detroit, received his Ph.D. from the University of California, and has been at Wayne since 1975.
