Bachelor programs

The study of languages offers students vibrant opportunities to encounter worlds beyond Detroit.

Providing instruction in fifteen languages, faculty members specialize in areas such as linguistics, popular culture, cinema studies, history, ancient to postmodern literatures and cultures, religious studies and more. We teach students to think critically about the globalized world and to see it through many cultural, historical, and political lenses.

You can choose from an array of degree programs that will prepare you for graduate and professional programs, careers in government, health professions, business and education and for active participation in today's global society.
