Bachelor of Science in Geology
A bachelor of science (B.S.) in geology is designed to provide students a foundation in the structure, composition and geochemical and geophysical processes that take place within and on the surface of the Earth.
This degree is suited to students who intend to become professional geologists, environmental scientists, and those intending to do graduate work in geology, geochemistry, geophysics and environmental science. The B.S. degree is intended for students seeking a career in mining, petroleum industry, geotechnical and environmental consulting, or related fields, as well as teaching in schools or for graduate work.
The bachelor of science program incorporates field experiences, including a summer field camp, and in cognate sciences.
