Spring 2021 issue of the Community Writing Newsletter

The Spring 2021 issue of the Community Writing Newsletter is hot off the presses! Written by members of a new student organization named CWEND, or Community Writing & Engagement i(N) Detroit, this newsletter profiles community-engaged learning projects from this semester's sections of English 3020 (Community & Writing). Even in the midst of a pandemic, faculty and students in these courses undertook service projects that made a difference in the metro Detroit area. Read the newsletter to learn how this semester's initiatives blended academic research and service to benefit the following local organizations and non-profits: Auntie Na's Village, D-Town Farms, Freedom House Detroit, Hamtramck Free School, Michigan Urban Farming Institute, Racquet Up! Detroit, and St. Vincent Sarah Fischer Center.
