Vladimir Chernyak elected to Academy of Scholars

The Department of Chemistry congratulates Professor Vladimir Chernyak on his election to the Wayne State University Academy of Scholars.

Vladimir Chernyak recently coauthored a paper, "Nonadiabatic Phase Transition with Broken Chiral Symmetry," with Nikolai A. Sinitsyn, Bin Yan, and Wojciech Zurek, of Alamos National Laboratory. The paper was published in Physical Review Letters, February 2021.

Founded in 1979, the Academy of Scholars recognizes distinguished research and creative achievement by selecting for membership the most productive and widely recognized individuals among the university's faculty. Membership in the Academy is the highest recognition that may be bestowed upon Faculty members by their colleagues.
