Graduate students win poster awards at ICIRD-2013

Two students from the Department of Biological Sciences won awards for their poster presentations at the 13th International Congress on Invertebrate Reproduction and Development in July.

Mengying Liu, a Ph.D. student, won a Best Student Poster Presentation Award for her presentation entitled "The Potential Cross-talk between SIN3 and Methionine Metabolism" and Kelly Laity, an M.S. student, won a Best Student Poster Presentation Award for her presentation entitled "Phenotypes Associated with Knockdown of Components of the SIN3 Complex."

Both students are working under the mentorship of Dr. Lori Pile.
