M.A. candidate successful in putting a Michican Road on National Register of Historical Places

Last December, master's candidate Daniel Harrison won national recognition for his community archaeology project when the "Hull's Trace North Huron River Corduroy Segment" was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The feature, a 200-year-old section of wooden road, is located in the downriver community of Brownstown, the scene of early action in the War of 1812. It was judged to be significant at the national level in the historical, technical, and archaeological categories.

In February, Daniel was interviewed on the WDET's Craig Fahle Show.
